Berry Hill 0 Cirencester 5
Berry Hill played their closing match of 2009 against a strong Cirencester side. Both teams were evenly matched with the 2 front rows going head to head. Hill had the first attempt for points when they elected to kick a penalty but the ball drifted wide. More close exchanges followed with strong defending required by Hill as Cirencester turned on the pressure and targeted the line. Just before the break Cirencester took a turn to kick for goal but again the ball missed the mark leaving both teams with nothing on the board for 30 minutes of hard work. The second half followed the same close format as the first but with Hill now playing up the slope Cirencester looked the more threatening to score. The solitary try finally came in last 7 minutes when Hill failed to defend a scrum in their 22. A great game to finish on before Christmas with the next match a local county cup derby against Lydney. Berry Hill men of the match which were picked by Cirencester were Matty Office and Harry Brown. Great hospitality by Cirencester with a return match eagerly awaited.

Berry Hill 34 Malvern 12
Berry Hill made the long trip to Malvern for the first time and fielding a nearly full squad of 20 players they started showing some free flowing rugby to seal the victory. Malvern using the slope of the pitch and the wind scored first but Hill soon responded with forward Louie Vaughan going over and Ryan Dawson converting to put them into a lead that they never looked back from. The second try was the pick of the bunch with Billy Roberts and Ricky Davis moving the ball along the line to pick up Cobi Robinson who showed great pace to score the first of his 3 tries. Malvern answered with one more try which Hill convinced that the ball had gone out of play stood looking at only for a Malvern player to run up and touch down. Fired up by this Hill turned on the pressure and quickly responded just before the final whistle with a try by William Tyler. Men of the match for Hill were Cobi Robinson and Oliver Morgan.

Berry Hill 5 Hucclecote 10
Berry Hill narrowly lost out to Hucclecote in a tight game. Weather conditions were difficult with driving rain and wind causing errors on both sides, Hill however scored first with Harry Brown showing he could easily play for Chelsea kicking the ball 4 times from the half way line and chasing it down to reach the touch line just in front of Hucclecote's fullback. After the break both teams had spells of pressuring in the opposition 22 but Hucclecote managed to go over twice to clinch the victory.

Berry Hill 7 Matson 20
Berry Hill U15 travelled to Gloucester in the pouring rain to what was looking like to be a rain soaked game. Once at Matson's ground however the rain stopped and although still windy the match was played in reasonable conditions. Hill missing a few players and fielding some new players took the early initiative with Cobi Robinson scoring a good individual try. Errors then started to creep into their game and some bad tactical decisions allowed Matson to go into the break 3 points ahead. Hill again pressurized in the second half but never converted their chances which left Matson to seize on a mistakes and run in another 2 tries. Hill's man of match was split between Louie Vaughan and Callum Wyman with new players Luke Davis and Billy Roberts also getting welcomed into the side.
