Berry Hill 30 Lydney 12 - Forest combination youth cup final

The final game of the season saw Berry Hill in their second final of the week, this time in the forest combination youth cup hosted at Dockham road Cinderford. With local rivals Lydney the opposition both teams were looking to round things off on a good note. Berry started slowly allowing Lydney a lot of early possession but they finally broke through with Cobi Robinson. The large pitch and windy conditions however made kicking difficult and they could not maximize the score thus forcing them to keep the ball in hand and push for tries for the rest of the game. Although this was not Hill’s best performance they managed to run in another 5 tries with the fifth try from Matty Office  completing his brace being the pick of the bunch. Other tries were scored by forwards William Tyler and Elliot Clarke with winger Ben Robbins claiming his first try of the season. After the final whistle the team climbed the steps up into the stand to collect their winners medals with captain Harry Brown lifting the cup to the applause of the large crowd.
